The Operations Support Generalist provides essential versatile support to oilfield operations by handling town errands, administrative tasks, and front-end billing processes. This role focuses on running supplies and materials into town, coordinating with vendors, managing work orders, and preparing accurate client invoices. The position ensures smooth daily operations, timely revenue capture, and efficient administrative support in a lean oil & gas environment.

Key Responsibilities

Town Runs & Operational Support Duties:

•  Perform regular town runs for picking up supplies, chemicals, tools, spare parts, fuel, and equipment needed for field operations.

•  Coordinate with local vendors, suppliers, and service providers in town (e.g., hardware stores, oilfield suppliers, welding shops, or delivery services) to arrange pickups or deliveries.

•  Deliver field documents, mail, or small equipment between the field office and town locations.

•  Assist with basic inventory management: track stock levels, receive deliveries in town, and transport items back to well sites or facilities as needed.

•  Provide light operational support, such as dropping off or collecting field tickets, maintenance logs, or safety equipment during town runs.

•  Handle miscellaneous errands, shipping runs, or transporting personnel/tools between locations.

Admin & Front-End Invoicing / Work Order Duties:

•  Process and manage work orders for field services, maintenance, repairs, equipment usage, or material requisitions.

•  Collect field data and tickets from crews or operators, then enter and verify details for accuracy.

•  Prepare and generate client invoices using billing software (IMS, SAP ect….) for completed jobs, materials supplied, labor, and services rendered.

•  Handle front-end billing tasks: data entry, attaching backup files, printing/sending invoices to clients via email or mail, and tracking invoice status.

•  Follow up on open work orders or billing discrepancies with field teams or vendors; resolve issues to prevent delays in invoicing.

•  Support general administrative duties, including filing, scanning documents, updating spreadsheets, answering phones, and maintaining organized records of errands, purchases, and invoices.

•  Assist with month-end close by reconciling town-run receipts, work orders, and invoices; flag any unbilled items or outstanding issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills

•  2–5+ years of experience in oilfield operations, administrative support, or a similar generalist role with exposure to errands, supply runs, and billing.

•  Familiarity with oil & gas terminology, basic field operations, and common vendors/suppliers in the area.

•  Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to manage errands efficiently while handling detailed admin and invoicing work.

•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), email, and billing/invoicing software; experience with field ticketing or inventory systems is a plus.

•  Excellent attention to detail for accurate data entry, invoice preparation, and receipt reconciliation.

•  Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable vehicle (or company vehicle provided); comfort with frequent town/field travel.

•  Good communication skills for dealing with vendors, field crews, and clients.

•  High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in safety, bookkeeping, or oilfield admin preferred.

Typical Work Environment & Schedule

Primarily office-based with frequent town runs (daily or as needed) and occasional light field visits. Standard daytime hours with some flexibility for urgent errands or month-end deadlines. This role is well-suited for smaller teams where one person keeps operations running smoothly through reliable support and timely billing.

• Must have Oilfield Downhole Tool experience, proficient in BHA components, Mud Motors, Fishing and Completion Tools.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct NDT inspections to ensure quality or to detect discontinuities (defects)
• Performing NDT procedures and other operations.
• Set up and utilize Non-destructive Test Equipment
• Assist in reporting inspection results and maintain paperwork to provide traceability
• Monitor, as well as train, Level I inspectors and inspection helpers
